The first two talks will be held in 13 MDLBH ( the Middlebush Hall). This is located at the intersection of the University Avenue and the 9th Street.
The remainder of the conference will be held in GCB ( the General Classroom Building). It is next to the Mathematical Sciences Building, across the Rollins Road.
Columbia is just about halfway between St. Louis and Kansas City. Because of the locations of the airports in these two cities, it takes about 1:40 to drive to St. Louis Airport, and 2:15 to drive to Kansas City Airport. Most major airlines fly to these two airports. In addition, there are commuter flights (connecting through St Louis) to Columbia regional airport. To get from St Louis or Kansas City airport to Columbia one can either:

(to the University of Missouri) via I-70: Take I-70 to exit 126 (Providence Road). Take Providence Rd 2miles south to Rollins St. This is a T intersection. Left onto Rollins to Maryland Ave (1st 4way stop sign). Left on Maryland 1 block to the Turner Ave Garage. Visitor parking is available in the garage Friday afternoon. After 5pm Friday and on weekends parking is free anywhere and you can also park in the surface lot at the corner of Maryland and Rollins (enter from Maryland).
Blocks of rooms have been reserved at Howard Johnson's (573-815-0123) and Best Western (573-474-6161) until March 1, 2002. When make your reservations, mention Algebraic Geometry Conference to obtain discounted rates.
Howard Johnson's is at 3402 I-70 Drive SE, and Best Western is at 3100 I-70 Drive SE. Take I-70 to Exit 128B, US63 (this is 2miles east of Exit 126). Go south on US63 and make the first left onto I-70 Dr SE. To get from the Hotel to Campus take the freeway 2miles W to Providence road and follow directions above.
The conference will arrange shuttle services between the two hotels (Howard Johnson's and Best Western) and the campus. Detailed schedule will be available later.
