Gang Yao, PhD
Dr. Gang Yao received his B.S. degree in physics from Nanjing University in 1989 and
his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2000.
He worked as a software engineer in GE Medical Systems from 2000-2002.
He subsequently joined the engineering faculty of University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002 and
is currently a professor in the Department of Bioengineering.
His research focuses on studying of light-tissue interactions and developing new optical imaging systems
and analysis methods for biomedical applications.
